Pamela Harris

Pamela Mashelle Harris, affectionately known by her loved ones as Pam, was born on August 6, 1959, in Salisbury, MD, USA. Pamela was a woman of extraordinary character; smart, ambitious, creative, and, above all, humble. She was a beacon of light and a pillar of strength within her community, shining brightly with her remarkable intellect and her relentless ambition. Pamela’s creativity was not confined to ideas alone; she had a knack for building cars, a hobby that showcased her ingenuity and her fearless spirit.

Pamela was proud of her achievements, graduating from Delmar High School, Wor-Wor Community College, and working at Filteonic Cometek in Salisbury, MD for over a decade. Yet, her accomplishments were overshadowed by her humility. She was a woman who valued family and faith above all. Pamela’s love for her family was immense, and her faith was unwavering. Her kindness extended to her nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she cherished deeply. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Pamela made everyone feel loved and appreciated.

Pamela is survived by her sister Crystal Williams, her sister Marion and her partner Emerson Jones, and her brother Kevin Dashiell. She is preceded in death by her father Fred Harris, her mother Roberta Harris, her brother Frederick Stuart Harris, and her step-father Elwood Dashiell.

Pamela’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 12:00pmEDT at McPherson Funeral Service, 11475 Commercial Lane, Laurel, Delaware, 19956. A viewing will be held prior to the celebration at 11:00amEDT. We invite all who knew and loved Pamela to join us in honoring her extraordinary life and the remarkable woman she was.
