Nicole Johnson

Nicole L. Johnson, known affectionately as "Nikki J", 48, Milton, Delaware passed away December 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 09, 1976, in Milford, Delaware, she was the daughter of Evelyn Boyer and James P. Cobbs- “JP”.

Nikki received her education from Milton Elementary, Milton Junior High, and achieved a remarkable milestone by graduating from Cape Henlopen High School early in 11th grade, a testament to her determination to make her mom proud as the first child to graduate.

She played many sports; however, her love was field hockey which if you asked her, she was a professional field hockey player. Her passion for track, volleyball, basketball showcased her remarkable sport expertise. When her son, Jerry started lacrosse, it became her favorite sport, and she would watch it day and night so that she could
give him pointers.

Nikki worked at Harbor Healthcare in the dietary department for 27 years where she created a long-term friendship with Chris Harris and Kevin Hood. She left Harbor and began a career in private care which she did until she had to leave due to health issues.

Nikki always had a smile on her face. She loved to dance, sing, and was the life of any party. Nikki had a love for cooking and was known for her chitterlings. Yet, what mattered most to Nikki was spending time with family and friends.

Nikki was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Nikki leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Tykera Johnson, son Jerry Harden Jr., her grandchildren, Ly’ece Johnson, Dream Harden, bonus granddaughter, Amora Holden, her mother Evelyn Boyer, her father John "JP" Cobbs, and stepfather John Boyer, her sisters, Doris Hagans (Alphonso), Nicole Stevens, Cortellia Pitts, her brothers James Lewis, Isaac Johnson (Lakisha), her godchildren, Taylor Harris, Demetrius Price, and Capri Murray, her close friends Kim Harmon and April West. And hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will never be another "Nikki J"~
