Milford, Delaware
Maurice Young was born on April 20, 1936, in Slaughter Neck, Delaware to the late Hansom Young and Georgeanna Harris. Maurice made his final journey on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
On October 15, 1960, Maurice and the love of his life, Grace Ann Shockley of Slaughter Neck, were united in marriage. To this union, one daughter was born, Cassandra A. Young.
As a youngster, Maurice attended Siloam A.M.E Church. With is wife being a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, he made charitable donations from time to time.

All he had to do to was show his hands. While driving buses, Maurice also worked as an orderly for Milford Memorial Hospital, for 40+ years. Maurice and his wife were the owners of R and G Restaurant- pool and dancehall, a baseball diamond, and the sponsors of the "R and G" baseball team. He also inherited his father's bus service, which is now known as Young's Bus Service. He was a bus contractor for both, Milford and Cape Henlopen School Districts, since 1955; and Young's Bus Service still contracts with Milford.
In his spare time, Maurice enjoyed walking his dog Lady II and was huge fan of the Phillies Baseball team. He also loved his sweets.
