Keith Thompson

–

Felton, Delaware

Keith Thompson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, nephew, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend transitioned from this life on October 22, 2024, in Milford, DE.
Keith Thompson was born on May 14, 1964, in Seaford, DE, the first-born son of Carolyn Thompson and Charles Ransome. Keith was raised in Seaford where he attended and graduated from Seaford High School in 1982. He was an outstanding athlete in both soccer and basketball while successfully maintaining his grades. Following high school, Keith enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he received honorable discharge after serving four years. He traveled the world during his service and often shared tales of his adventures in Africa, Spain, Iran, and other places.
After leaving the Navy, Keith relocated to New York City. Keith retired from Solow Realty where he held the position of Fire Safety Director for more than 10 years. Keith loved music and was a talented DJ who performed at various functions over the years.
Everyone in Keith's circle of family and friends knows he was a generous, fun-loving person who went out his way to help anyone in need. Keith served as Past Master of Gideon Lodge No. 145 in Bartonsville, PA, Past Patron of Harriet Tubman Chapter No. 64 in Easton, PA and District Lecturer of the 9th OES District of Debrorah Grand Chapter, PHA in Pennsylvania where he enjoyed participating in charitable activities. He looked forward to helping children and their families by organizing fundraisers such as coat drives, back-to-school backpack, Easter, and Christmas toy-drive events.
Keith's favorite pastime was traveling both in and out of the country. Taking cruises was one of his favorite ways to travel. He loved his "Momma" and took her on several trips out of the country. Keith was a leader of the men and boys in his family; they all looked up to him for his knowledge and wisdom when they needed help and guidance. He set a good example of what it meant to be a real man and an Alpha male. Keith's faith was strong, and he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He lived his life according to God's will and let his deeds speak for themselves.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Carolyn Thompson and stepfather, Donald Horsey, loving wife Simone Thompson, father-in-law Harlem Keyes, stepson Robert Wallace, stepdaughter Erica Desir and husband Aaron, three grandchildren: AJ, Amir and Arielle, one sister Jessica Thompson, two brothers: David Middleton and Vincent Middleton, a special cousin Shaheed Wise and his wife Patricia, three special cousin-brothers, Malachi Ross, Timothy Ross and Christopher Ross, one special uncle Shaheed Muhammad and wife Wilma, two special Aunts: Doris Suggs and Carrie Malloy, three nieces: Brianna Ward-Cottman and husband Jay, Daysha Deshields and Mickayla Hudson, five nephews: Brooks Cornish, Shaheed Miller, Shamar Middleton, Micah Hudson (God-son) and James Houston and a host family and friends who he loved.
It brings us comfort and joy to know that Keith is now with God and all other loved ones who preceded him in this journey walking around Heaven all day.
