Julia Maria Pabon, born April 23, 1981, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2026. She was known for her feisty personality, infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her children, family, and friends.
Julia grew up in Milton, and the town truly was her playground. Being smart and funny, she made friends easily; several becoming life long family to her. Julia enjoyed cooking and learning new dishes. She loved singing and listening to music, mostly old-school hip-hop, 80s, 90s and 2000s. And she was quick to bust a dance move too, and would dance right up to us, making us join in. And she loved joking and playing games with her nieces and nephews. How she loved spending time with family!
Julia loved A actor movies and stand up comedy. Her favorite clothes to wear were an t-shirt, open-front sweater and TIGHTS. She loved to read and was writing a book!
Because of some health issues in the past 8+ years, Julia couldn’t work a regular 9 to 5, but she would pick up jobs to ensure she could provide as much as she could for her youngest. What she couldn’t contribute with money, she contributed with time and love, by helping the household and her sisters.
Julia played an essential role in caring for and maintaining the household for our elderly mother, with whom she lived. She was an integral part of the “Auntie Squad” alongside her sisters, Ida and Tina, helping to care for her beloved two-year-old grandnephew, Mateo Pabon. Julia adored Mateo and spent countless hours teaching him with flashcards, playing games, dancing, and creating memories that will forever be treasured.
Her passing has left a gallon-sized hole for the pint-sized woman she was. But, we know she didn’t choose to leave us, especially not her 'teddy bear'- her fiancé, Kevora Brown (Ke’), who is truly missing his lovebug.
Welcoming Julia into Heaven are her father, Jose Pabon; her sister, Felicia (Brown) Pennewell; her daughter, Taliyah Pabon; and her brother-in-law, William Pennewell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Shellie Brown, her sons, Emontae Pabon, Elijah Pabon, Xaviyon Pabon, and Sincere Pabon; her brothers, Antonio Saez, Jose Pabon Jr., and Steven Willey (BFAM); her sisters, Cynthia Banks, Ida Pennewell, Christina Saez, and Margaret Pabon; her nieces, Moniqua Parrish, Keila Saez and Destiny Horsey; her nephews, Anthony Cropper, Kye Pabon, Joshua Willey, Tre Parsons, Tomiko Saez, Thaddeous and Theoddeus Johnson, Nathan Pennewell and Timothy Horsey; her fiancé’s daughter, Za’Kyra Brown; her forever best friend, Teresa Houchens, and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Julia will be greatly missed and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
Her homegoing service will be held on June 6, 2026, at 2 p.m, at McPherson Funeral Home in Milford, DE. We will celebrate her life in fellowship (repast) immediately following the service at 118 Orchard Street in Milton.
Instead of flowers, please consider a donation to help cover funeral expenses. Any funds remaining will be used to assist with the care and support of her minor son, Sincere Pabon, who will graduate from Cape High School next year.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
