DeAndre Wright

DeAndre transitioned peacefully from this life on December 25th, 2025. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. "Booboo" as he was affectionately known by all who knew him, was born in Salisbury, MD, on May 4, 1983, to Denise Dawn Wright-Johnson and Calvin Edward Schoolfield, Sr. Booboo was a devoted, unwavering father to his two sons and two daughters that he shared with his wife, April Beaty-Wright. He was educated in the Wicomico County Public School System during his formal years. He then went on to earning his Commercial Drivers' Licenses and was employed driving trucks for Amazon in Baltimore, MD.

DeAndre is survived by his mother Denise Wright- Johnson (Lavon), his father Calvin Schoolfield (Teresa); three children: LaNiza Wright, DeAndre Wright, Jr., and Anayah Wright; four grandchildren, Zacari Myrick, Zyaire Myrick, DeAndrea Wright, and Avionna Wright; fourteen siblings, Lamanns, Rakeem, and Jamal Terry; DeVonta, Joshua, and Lavon, Jr. and Trevon Johnson all of Salisbury, MD; Keshia Handy of West Palm Beach, FL, Shaneeka (Johnnie) Jones, Marqueta Schoolfield, Calvin, Jr. (Monica) Schoolfield, all of Salisbury, MD. Jerrell Schoolfield of Quantico, MD, Jamel Schoolfield of Hinesville, GA and Terrell Schoolfield of Salisbury, MD. He also leaves to cherish his memory his deeply devoted grandmother Geraline Wright-Foster, and his great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth Wright; his two aunts Janice Sheppard-Clark (Aunt J) and Penny Collins and a paternal aunt, Tammy Yarns; his paternal grandmother Janie Christopher and including his wife April Beaty-Wright.

DeAndre was preceded in death by one son, Avion Wright, his "Pop-Pop" Double Duece Charles McDaniel and Albert Foster; two cousins whom he cherished: Lamar Byron Sheppard and Floyd Lee Sykes, Jr. There are a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and extended family member left to honor DeAndre's memory.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 17h, 2026 at 12:00 pm. Location: Union Methodist Church, Inc. 1203 Pine St in Delmar, MD 21875. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Denise Johnson or Springhill Memory Gardens to fund a head marker for DeAndre's final resting place.
