Barbara Elizabeth Benson

Barbara Elizebeth Benson was born September 13, 1962, in Seaford, Delaware, to the late Emma L. Brewington and Tony Keeper. She departed this life Sunday August 31, 2025. In her early years she received her formal education at Bridgeville School District in Bridgeville, Delaware.

Barbara loved making jewel boxes and stands, she was very creative in using popsicle sticks in most of her projects. Barbara was a good card player, she held the title of undefeated whenever she played cards with her sister, because she would beat her every time. Barbara loved to dance. She could do every new dance that came out. Barbara held a certificate as a lifeguard and was also previously employed at the Clam Factory and Delarge in Bridgeville, Delaware.

Barbara loved her family. You would hear her speak of her two children and grandchildren often. She had a special relationship with her brother Melvin and sister Corliss.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Emma L. Brewington and father, Tony Keeper. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Julia Davis of Dover, Delaware; son, Julius Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Corliss Palmer of Seaford, Delaware; brother, Melvin L. Brewington of Laurel, Delaware; two aunts, Cora Bailey of Georgetown, Delaware and Angeline Smith of Seaford, Delaware; three adorable grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Joslyn Davis and Ezra Mabson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, special friends Crystal Bailey, Andra Cannon and Anthony and Glady Drummond.
